Any high end music headphones will still work fine for games, its just personal preference(for example, some people prefer games to have less Bass or something, but that comes down to the specific headphones then.
To me these headphones have amazing sound quality, like an orgasm to my ears. My first pair went bad though, and the mic on this pair is broken but it wasn't that good anyway so I guess its no big deal. These are my first real pair of high-end headphones though so I'm sure that there are better, but online they run for around $40-50.
Superlux 668b ($60)
Creative Aurvana Live ($70)
AKG 240 ($70)
For a mic get a ModMic which goes for $30 or so dollars
Better audio quality than those terrible headsets.
Your call, OP.
mic is pretty good, *almost* good enough for recording.
