What are the best headphones for music AND gaming?
Alright so I've have heard of pros and cons of owning a gaming pc headset as they are more twords gaming than music and vice verca with professional dj headsets. What are the top headset that is below the price of 100 dollars that benefits listening to music and playing gaming, not one way or the other. It's been tough researching what kind of headphones that can accommodate both of these features rather then one specifically only for gaming and the other for just music alone. I would perfer a headset with a build in microphone but if there are any other options I'm also willing to check out.

For gaming I use Turtle Beach X12's. Just grab some earphones for music.
My Turtle Beach PLA isn't too bad, with it's USB powered and the mic is clear, the sound is nice and loud, it has it's own volume controls on it, bla bla bla, and it was 50 bucks!
SteelSeries Siberia v2 is decent quality both for gaming and music.
does it need a Mic attached or......
Any high end music headphones will still work fine for games, its just personal preference(for example, some people prefer games to have less Bass or something, but that comes down to the specific headphones then.
Best advice I can give you: avoid all of those stupid "celebrity headsets" like the plague.
The Razer Carcharias are pretty good for both gaming and listening to music. The mic on them is a joke and mine broke despite that fact that I've never used it before.

To me these headphones have amazing sound quality, like an orgasm to my ears. My first pair went bad though, and the mic on this pair is broken but it wasn't that good anyway so I guess its no big deal. These are my first real pair of high-end headphones though so I'm sure that there are better, but online they run for around $40-50.

All are these answers are wrong.

Superlux 668b ($60)
Creative Aurvana Live ($70)
AKG 240 ($70)

For a mic get a ModMic which goes for $30 or so dollars
Better audio quality than those terrible headsets.

I use X12 to and they are good for music to. They got good bass and they are $40 or so. If you think they are bad for music then you need to install a better audio software and tweek it.

Great answer guys, I def will research all these headphones and compare. Any more answers would be awesome. I've been looking at Blue microphones as well to see if I just want to get a seperate headphone and mic.

If you want headphones get some HD 558s, they pick up every sound and you can get a mod mic for them.
