The cost is honestly trivial to me. You're probably right about it being 15-20 USD, perhaps 30, but it's still worth it, to me. If you're a fan of tactical games, you'll love it. The changes they've made since the initial launch on PS1 make it an entirely different experience, and much for the better. Added cutscenes, better translation of the story, better presentation of the story elements (it makes next to no sense on the PS1 without getting outside help due to the poor translation of some parts). Not to mention extra content: multiplayer, more job classes, more abilities, more special characters.
I support this hugely and would love to get a copy. In fact, since the intial release of FF7 on Steam, I've been rather excited that I have digital back ups to my PS1 and PSP games. I don't care if anything changes about them, it saves me a lot of work trying to do it from disc.
Also, this is probably amongst the pinnacle of tactical RPGs (the story and music are phenomenal) and I see no reason to just not start putting all the best games on Steam, espcially from the "classic" era of games (the 90's). These nearly 20-year-old titles still beat the crap out of the lame wallet-draining-programs that people call games these days.
So, in summary, hell yes, bring it on!
Agreed! I cant tell you how many hundreds (probably thousands...) of hours I've spent because each battle is new and different - especially with all the different job classes available. This game is definitely one for replayability and for involvement of the mind! :D
