POP UPS WHY SO MANY
Since 4 days ago my computer has been having popup problems, but most of them are on steam, I've used programs like Adwcleaner, Anti malware, Ad aware and they do find stuff like a weird Registry Key called HKLM/software.... but it keeps coming back. I've uninstalled steam and then reinstalled it but no use. The pop ups i get are the ones saying that i have popups disabled or weird "did u know" pics. I WOULD LOVE SOME HELP IF ANY COULD ASSIST ME!

you need to seek out malware removal assistance. There are areas on the Internet dedicated to this end.

Did you try https://www.malwarebytes.org ?

If malwarebytes doesn't work try this: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-removal-tool/

If that software cant help you should ask in their forums, just read their pinned threads before you post: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/forum/7-malware-removal-help/

The only thing I can think of is searching in your browsers and looking if they perhaps are creating the pop-ups.

If you use Internet Explorer 9 this can be a solution
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_7/how-do-i-stop-the-did-you-know-popup-at-the-bottom/b93c948d-7e6b-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5

If you use Google Chrome I suggest looking at this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95472

And if you use Firefox you should look at this
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-troubleshooting

I hope this helps but I haven't heard of pop-ups that are made through Steam. If you can't find the cause I suggest looking through your programs (Configuration -> Programs -> Deleting Programs and delete everything that looks like a virus (be sure to search it before deleting it it may be vital to have)

Well i use "Adblock Plus", its a browser expansion(using google chrome here but i think it works on different browsers also). Its supressing Ads in my Steam also, all i get is only one popup when starting Steam, then nothing anymore.

Adblock Plus is one of the best Blockers existing.

I know that the site is not sketchy but it's great that you are careful. You should upload the file to https://www.virustotal.com if you are worried.

Malwarebytes recently hired the guy that did that tool and now own it but it's still separate from malwarebytes. https://blog.malwarebytes.org/news/2015/06/malwarebytes-acquires-junkware-removal-tool/ It's pretty great but be careful and scan it on virustotal. Great habit.

Run malwarebytes first. Then the other tool.

If that doesn't solve it ask in that forum.

I'll try it, but i use fire fox, can u find that app on fire fox?

Adblock wont block ads served by malware/adware installed on your PC.
If you want to surf safer use firefox and https://noscript.net (but remove the crap from your PC first)

Macachose, ignore adblock for now. It's made for real ads that the websites added. Steam does not have ads.

@Forcen: Is it sure that the threadopener has a malware-problem ? Because if not, Ad-block will help him.
