Just figured out a paradox.
If you had the most world records, wouldn't that be a world record, which would give you the world record again, and again, and you would keep on setting thousands of world records for the same thing.

No. You don't get a new world record for having yet another world record. You can only have one record of the most world records. When you get the most, it does immediately kick you up one further than the next guy, which is kind of a nifty thing. No infinity world records though.

Well, ask Guinness World Records for confirmation of the paradox and you might get an award for "First Paradox Realization About World Records Posted on Steam Off-Topic Forums"

On the other hand, suppose there is exactly one country where NOBODY has a world's record in anything.

What would happen if you instituted a "World's Record for Fewest World Records?"

Then that would give them a record, therefore not giving them a world record for fewest world records.
