Yes, it is the one thing that Capitalism has failed to provide, a fair & even distribution of wealth. In fact for Capitalism to truly succeed it must resolve, once & for all, poverty on the planet.

It seems that equality doesn't really exist & I think the best thing we can ask for is fairness. Lets be honest there is an extremely large obvious gap, between those that have & those that dont.

I'm guessing UBI meaning, Universally Based Income? If it is, then yes I agree. As we know there is strong resistance against UBI, but as meaningful fair paying jobs become more scarce in the future, they will eventually have no choice but to seriously consider it.

I think we all know why there is resistance to UBI & to be fair, I will say that free hand-outs with no need to be productive, is rarely good for society. However I do suspect that eventually, Capitalism will do things out of necessity for societies basic needs, instead of just sheer profit.

In general I think that people are more willing to work for their needs instead of their wants. It is this that may change the way economies function & pave the way for greater participation & willingness to contribute towards societies greater needs.

The completely corrupt officials in charge of disaster relief take all the money and pose for fake photo ops while real people in need die or have their lives ruined is what. definitely. but its so rooted since the 1st industrial revolution that i dont see it going away easily tbh. any ideology that seeks unrestricted power seeks unrestricted control over everything/everyone.
poverty also doesnt seem to be a priority in a capitalistic system because that would mean that profits would have to be redistributed equally. and thus it wouldn't be capitalism anymore. capitalism = profit.

Yes, there is no way those in control will ever let their power be taken from them. Any & all attempts to change the Capitalist system will always be met with hard resistance. As we know, any sudden major change often comes with great pain & suffering for so many.

I think it is why the world seems to be more critical about things, slow change only builds upon old tradition. Many would suggest, that the only way to achieve real change is to replace the old with something entirely new, instead of just the same old minor adjustments along the edges.
