kinda like how people consider something they're told in person more legitimate than something they read on the internet... or at least that was the case until people started attaching their faces to their ideas in the form of video media... except that's inherently deceptive as it can be rehersed, so it's really just another mask that people should distrust.
Because of the covid thing you can't wear a mask because people instantly think you are some covid simp that is afraid of everything.
bloody ridiculous.
They may be afraid of getting sick or spreading their own germs.
As for me, I do not care what others choose as long as they do not impose it on me.
Over 100 years of dozens and dozens of medical studies on masks of various different materials. All of which is publicly available information. Surely you didn't think nobody in the medical industry ever put thought or research into this prior to Covid?
no one ever said those masks would protect you from infections. right from the start the WHO said it was to prevent YOU from spreading infection to OTHERS though splatter.
you put a barrier in front of your mouth, you don't spray splatter all over. it's not a rocket science concept.
the problem is that the media miss-reported it to make people think masks would keep them safe and the whole thing just got out of hand with people who were scared opposing people who were actually thinking....
I don't even go out in public that much and knew I never had covid ffs, but I still did the mask thing cuz well... it wasn't that often and I could deal with it for others piece of mind... what I did NOT tolerate was the hand sanatizer requirements all over because the sensory aspect of it triggers me and I just have to get that ♥♥♥♥ off.
Aspirant ninjas.
But here's my experience about this.
I did it for the last 3 years but in the last couple of weeks I made the decision to stop wearing one.
I do notice it a bit on public transport like buses or the train but apart from that no one seems to do it much anymore here except for maybe older people and Asian people. But they seemed to do that even before the pandemic.
