The title says it. I helped my friend creating a icon for tanks and other stuff in company of heroes 2 and it got banned 3 days later.

So I guess I will give you my 2 cents.

Steam does allow anything that is in games! It is the devs that restrict. IE if they don´t want certain flags, objects, etc. they can remove them. There are plenty of devs that allow plenty of flags that are "not allowed" in certain countries etc or is frown upon or whatever.

It does have to do with context ofc. If it is for historical accuracy purposes or immersion, often it is great to see all kind of stuff! (I don´t think censorship brings us anything good) The raising sun is forbidden some places (obviously) and so is a certain Germany ww2 flag.. but still

The >swatstika< (my keyboarding skills is awesome by the way) has become a basic form of trolling on the internet of late. But the confederate flag that has flown in South Carolina for likely more than 100 years now is finally being attacked, we darned racist southerners and our racist tendencies.

It's not like flags more than 100 years old can develop new meanings, it's about race, because it's always about race. I say we make another petition about banning century old things that have yet to be banned. Deleting history has never been so easy.

If anyone truly cared about getting the flag removed, they would have done so before a boy walked into a church and murdered several people. Yet now it's a publicity stunt being held by senators trying to look good to the media, they want those presidential votes next year. Gotta get those votes.

That's not accurate. It exists in several countries but they don't persecute slavery, many uses slaves as part of their government force. For instance child soldiers are considered a form of slavery, so going into villages, taking the kids away from their families to raise them up to be part of peoples armies in places like Africa, Afganistan,Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and places like the Congo. There's actually around 40 million slaves (estimated) in existence today and they figure it's a billion dollar industry. There's also other forms of slavery like the illegal organ trade business in which countries like China, India, Pakistan, Kosovo are guilty of having thriving or sanctioned slavery.

Think of it like this. Instead of fighting modern day slavery, we're talking about how they should ban the pyramids or the Great Wall of China because slaves were used to build those things.

And sorry to tell you this but you're again wrong, race is in fact a real thing. Take college level biology/human anatomy. You'lll find that race is more then just melanin levels. I mean don't get me wrong it's a nice phrase "there's only one race, the human race" but it's a talking point, one that's not accurate.

Its' the kind of thing that really gets your blood boiling, they have footage of some the slave markets online, it's pretty sad that this is going on in the world.
