Why do you care what people call the damn game?
Seeing as how the game is being made by EA, it's undoubtedly going to suck just as hard as all the other EA games suck. I'm expecting it to be EXTREMELY dumbed down compared to Battlefront 2, with the same buggy/glitchy engine BF4 uses, and probably matchmaking for playing online.
I bet most of the stuff that made the Battlefront series so great won't even be present in the game. Things like Galactic conquest mode, or the space battles... I bet the maps won't even be as big as the maps in Battlefront 2 were.
EA is incapable of making quality games anymore. They're too focused on cheap development, advertising hype, and gameplay gimmicks.
If they did a reboot to Battlefront 2 with the same campaign plot, they wouldn't name it Battlefront 2. Also, Battlefront 3 helps me distinguish between what was art, and what I would have to shell out my life's saving just to get DLC that should have come with the full game.
The more you know!
My only hope for the Battlefront franchise would be that EA makes the sequal more like the previous in the series, hell, even a touch of battlefield wouldn't hurt, since that's what the first Battlefront was based on.
