So people hate cops, because they shoot people who deserve to be shot?
*mind explodes*
To be fair, there were a few cops recently exposed in shootings that were completely unnecessary.
With that said, people take things too far. They need to respect law enforcement and that they are there to protect people. We shouldn't be antagonizing them.
Shouldn't we hate construction workers just as much, if they're involved in even more accidental deaths?
Well...we aren't seeing news reports of construction workers killing other construction workers or random people for no particular reason. I was talking about the shootings that WERE completely unnecessary, such as one where a cop shot a man in the back five times...then walked over and placed a taser on his body. That is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
But I do still think this recent police antagonism brought on by certain groups are taking things too far and their rhetoric is way too hostile.
Pfff....lol
Guns aren't free....you crazy.
Bullets are expensive.
Too many dumb rednecks. You never see a cop chase down a banker or something on the show.
So just because it's not on the news, means it's not important?
I'm sure plenty more people die in construction accidents, than police shooting accidents.
Is it just an issue of someone who's supposed to be an authority figure killing people, or is it part of our natural desire to do whatever we want. And a Cop is just the equivalent of a little kid changing how he acts in front of his friends, if his parents are watching.
You win this thread! Congratulations!
I agree to a point. But you are spinning the topic and ignoring the wrongful killings that have taken place. Cops HAVE shot people for no good reason. BUT, people have taken the anti-cop position too far and used far too hostile rhetoric.
Do remember that in America, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The only people who are shot and can be said to deserve it are those sentenced to death and executed by firing squad. And that's only if you're cool with giving the State the right to kill people.
But those people are being killed accidentally. Like if they appear to be holding a weapon. I see little difference between this, and a construction worker accidentally killing an innocent person.
Is it truly murderous and evil to kill someone by accident?
