Fallout, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas.
Fallout 3 was my very first Fallout game, and I played that to death with my brother, so heavy nostalgia there. Fallout New Vegas because, New Vegas. Has the best DLC content of all the modern Fallout games so far. And, the original Fallout because it was a great CRPG and without that game, we wouldn't have anything else.
Fallout Bakersfield looks pretty cool.
The originals were very charming in terms of writing and worldbuilding, but they haven't aged well in terms of gameplay.
Fallout 3's writing was mediocre, but the atmosphere did have a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that I've only experienced with Stalker and Darkwood.
Fallout 4, while it was the most excited I've ever been for a game, turned out to be pretty mid in retrospect. Some parts of it, I loved (the whole Courser hunt arc, for example), but for the most part, my experience with the game is a half-forgotten haze. I'd rank it lower than 3.
I haven't played 76, Tactics or that godawful old Playstation game, nor will I now.
I pray (with little hope) we get more games like this someday.
I love Fallout 3 too and New Vegas. Theyre the best for me.
fo3 felt like an actual waste land
fo4 good gameplay
havent played the others
I love Mr.House and the toaster.
Because it's very similar to Fallout 1 but there's way more to do in it and better gameplay, mechanics to some extent. I love the first one but Fallout 2 is my favorite overall.
Fallout 4 is the worst I've played so far. It's fun but another wasted entry into the franchise, hijacked by Bethesda.
Also, too bad despite the better shooting FPS mechanics, there is an invisible wall that prevents longer distance shots from hitting enemies. Sort of ridiculous if you need a bunch of mods to make the game enjoyable.
True RPG,Turn base tactics, decent exploration for the time, from what i remember good writing and Darker theme than any of it's succesors, making it a more credible dystopian story.
In Fallout 3 enjoyed the 1st person implementation to explore maps, but it did felt smaller than Fallout, the RPG element of it also decayed compromising possible unique play paths.
Won't be playing Fallout 4 so i can't speak for it and missed the window of interest to play Fallout 2, so maybe i'll play it on a next dystopian humble bundle idk...
I wonder if Bethesda would dare making an Overseer Fallout focus the idea would be similar to Fallout Shelter but less kiddy and more like Xcom Enemy Unknown, since it would make sense the base being limited and not as bountiful like we experience in Fallout Shelter.
While we as the Overseer being a comander instructing squads to defend the base from the many dystopian dangers.
The "best" Fallout, imo, has to be 2. But I'd have a hard time playing it now because it's so dated.
