About Splatoon 3

Heya. I've just found out that german gamestop offers a 9,99 offer where you can get splatoon 3 for just 10€, if you trade in 2 other games. One of them being Splatoon 2 actually. (The other one would be mario 3d all stars for me, but i don't care about that game)

So i want to ask if anyone has played Splatoon 3 so far and if it's worth trading in the previous game.

I haven't played too much of the multiplayer so far but it's pretty fun. The supers are less obnoxious now and the new weapon types are pretty cool [/spoiler]even if they aren't very good.[/spoiler] There's also just a crap ton of quality of life changes like salmon run being up 24/7. Campaign is pretty cool so far, it's structured more like the octo expansion than the campaigns in 1 and base 2.

I would imagine you only need the save. After all if you play through a physical copy, how can the switch know the difference between you still actually having 2 in your possession or not?

If you're rusty, be ready to get destroyed in turf war until you get used to the game again.

And Nintendo adds quality of life???

♥♥♥♥ yeah, sign me up.
As someone who played both 1 and 2, it's crazy how Nintendo didn't add any qof at all to the second game.
Some things like the map announcements got worse and are actually slower than in the first game.

Did they also get rid of the map rotation?

Ok sad to say.
I've been at 2 gamestops today and both didn't have a single copy of splatoon 3 left.

Sadly this offering ends on Monday. My only hope was to give them my name and to hope that i can pick the game up on Monday, at least if they get supplied with more copies. :-(

Late reply but map rotations are still a thing, however you're only forced to sit through the news on booting the game. Once you're in game, new updates happen in a text box on the top left corner of the screen and you're free to move around and do whatever.

You can skip the regular daily news yes but when they did a splatfest thing it was unskipable. Not sure if that’s because it was the first one I saw so they want you to know what a splatfest is.

Everything BUT at least 300 hours in Splatoon would be dissapointing for me.
