Looking for games so complex it's easy to get lost
Basically I am looking for games with so many moving parts that you can lose track of what's going on. I already know about dwarf fortress so looking for other suggestions.

Even HoI4 veterans don't understand this game.

Loose track of your family tree and accidentally marry your sister.

Loose track of time creating urban abominations and get milked with pointless DLCs.

Have fun figuring this game out, because the publisher forgot to ship a manual.

Rainbow Six Siege, battlefield 2042… oh wait did they remove 128 player battles? Anyway so many particle effects and floating characters, lag, youll have no idea whats going on xD

More seriously, a paradox game like Stellaris, EU IV…or a city game like Cities Skylines.

Mech customization in this game can easily eat hours of your time. And it's really fun if it's your cup of tea.

This game's character building system is one with so much depth, you can find new and interesting builds and tweaks of existing ones even hundreds of hours into it.

Here is a game that’s so complex you will spend days just trying to figure how to but the game :) even with three separate guides including two steam guides and forum threads :D

If you're a fan of Dwarf Fortress, Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is always a solid choice. It has more depth and customisation than 99% of the games I've come across.

X3: Terran Conflict and Albion Prelude. I spent 800 hours in TC trying to figure out main questline, because progress had this many confusing obstacles (especially that supply network for gate system with insane resource requirement).

Haventt played lots of it, but it feels rather complex with the skills and summoning.
Bunch of stuff to collect to get you lost.
