What games run well on Intel 4600?
RMA'd my 780 GTX. Got a few weeks until I get a replacement. Until then, what games can I run well with just my 4690K? Preferably RPGs.

I've tried Kotor 2 and the frame rate was all over the place.

Thanks!

Defiance work very well on a Intel HD if you don't go over 720P.

path of exile also work well in 720P.

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Skyrim ran on my older intel card, with heavy weather effects, at a constant 30fps. Which was acceptable for a laptop

Here is a list from Intel. Enjoy it.

Intel integrated graphics cards are hardy little beasts that can do a surprising lot.

They won't run the latest-and-greatest games.

I'd be hesitant about them being able to run full-3D games from within the last year or three or five. More stylized stuff, such as voxels, might work better. Basically, a quick rule of thumb is "how good does it look?".

2D and 2.5D games should most likely run just fine. Unless they're really high-detail 2.5D and use lots of 3D effects.

Just be prepared to turn things onto lower graphics settings.

Also check the benchmark score for the 4600, and compare it to the benchmark score on the video card in the required/recommended specs whatever games you want to play. If the required card's score is way lower, you're probably okay. If the required card's score is around the same or above it, then you should expect to need to choose some lower or mid settings. If the required card's score is far above it, then expect the game to run with some difficulty only on lowest settings, or not even run at all.

As for RPGs...well, I mostly only know JRPGs, but I've got an Intel Integrated 4400, so if they run on my machine they'll probably run fine on yours. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is basically the best JRPG on Steam, hands down, and it's actually a 2004 release originally, so it runs quite fine on any modern system (some bugs aside but the programmer is very diligent and checks the forums). For a more recent game, there's the strategy RPG Valkyria Chronicles, which seems to run fine on my computer too. The Ys games are action RPGS and are all less recent than Valkyria Chronicles, and they all also run fine, even on a 4000. All of these are great choices, with high-quality storytelling/script, gameplay, visual design, and music.

As for WRPGs, I can confirm that Dragon Age Origins runs fine on a 4400 and a 4000.

Ensure you have downloaded the Intel Driver Update Utility and get the latest Intel HD drivers:

Games for a Intel HD 4600...

Civilization
Counter Strike
DayZ
Diablo III
Dota 2
Garry's Mod

Top-down perspective (Bird's eye view) will probably run the best on Intel HD graphics. First or third person shooters tend to take a lot more.

Turn down the graphics quality to low, shaders low or off, disable anti-aliasing, and even lower the resolution, if that helps.
