Everyone has a favourite something I suppose.
My favourite Mythical Legend would be the Flying Dutchman, the ghost ship to haunt and destroy all on the seven seas! Mythical creature... the Griffin. Half lion, half eagle and is a dragon of type.

Favourite legend would be stories of Greek Goddess, Athena.
If I had to pick a creature, it will be the tragic story of the Gorgon, Medusa.

I study cultural anthropology, including mythology and religion. It's literally impossible for me to choose just one that I like, especially considering my own practices overlap with said studies. It's easier for me to say which ones I don't like.

Most notably, freybugs and Black Shuck, which the concept of actually terrified me as a child given my experiences with dogs and my having had cynophobia - a phobia of dogs. The concept of a black dog who stalks his prey and brings misfortune to them frightened me as a kid given that as a child, I had trouble separating fantasy from reality.
