Am I A Psychopath?
Whenever i see extreme gore/torture, i dont get disgusted by it. I smile instead, i don't know why i smile but i get so hyped and get so happy whenver i see very brutal stuff happening.

There is this anime called "When They Cry", it's extremely brutal and it has several torture scenes. Includes a scene where a little girl commits suicide by smashing her neck up againest a knife on the wall, with another girl that is laughing uncontrollably while the girl commits suicide.

When i looked in the comments, there were so many comments saying that it was extremely brutal and they couldn't handle it. Some said they almost quit watching the show because of it.

I wasn't disgusted at all, i found it quite entertaining. And i actually wanted a scene like that to happen, i just love gore all-together and i get so excited for it.

But i draw a line when it comes to Real Life, it's not like i go onto Google and search up Real Life bloodbaths and laugh at it. But whenever i do come across news or images of such things, i don't get disgusted by it either but instead i'm just like "Meh".

Is something wrong with me? Am I A Psychpath?

No. A psychopath wants to make these things happen. Sociopath would be more accurate, but the fact that you have to ask makes me think you're just desensitized from watching a lot of it. I would suggest that you go easy on the gore for a while, but I don't think there's anything actually wrong with you.

What?

If you feel the need to ask, then no you are not.

As one homicidal maniac to one concerned, you don't worry about being crazy. It would never occur to you to ask about it. You either know you are, or ask questions like this for the drama. If you are actually worried, you would call your local hospital and have yourself put under observation.

Well then, since it's quite obvious that i am far from a Psychopath (Which i am glad of)

Am I a Sociopath? Then.

A Sociopath wouldn't care either.

You simply have a lack of empathy, you are not a "psychopath".

True, but i am still having a hard time understanding if i could slowly over-time lose more and more empathy until i actually do become a "full sociopath".

Tbh, the only difference i know about Sociopaths and Psychopaths is that a Psychopath goes out and does aggressive acts and a sociopath just don't have those feelings at all but they don't go out and do those kind of acts.

That I can't answer. that one is one mental illness I don't care to ever discover in someone. Sociopaths display completely normal behavior, and can camouflage themselves around normal folk.

But, unless you are manipulating us now, I doubt one would come out and ask that, either. So, if you are not actively working some kind of angle, then I would say no to that, as well.

Did you stop to think that, maybe, just maybe, you have a different tolerance to things?

Was just curious, you always could never know.

I had a .. change a few years ago. Before that, I could literally tolerate anything I had seen. Now days, I really can't watch too many modern horror flicks.

Excepting something you see, especially in a medium you know is fake, is one thing. You don't want to see dead and injured people in real life says a lot. You are more sane than a lot of our modern media producers.

Give a shout out when you collect all the Faces of Death videos, and watch them on loop. I need to know who would actually worry me.

Go be happy, and remember you are as sane as the rest of us... Wait.. that sounds bad...

Uh.. A-Okay!

I'm very sorry that you had to go through that "Change".

Not wanting to see a dead/injured person, and simply just not having empathy for them are different things but okay :P

I have no idea what "Faces of Death videos" are tho xD

I don't live in the most friendly of places, people at my school are mostly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and i'm mostly an anti-social loner but i guess the Internet is good enough for me

Depends on the area I guess. Pretty much everywhere I go I see kids making homophobic jokes, and belittling homosexuals, and using the term 'gay' far too lightly for my liking. Would that be considered a social impairment?
Being the target of discrimination does not constitute a mental illness. You'll note that the DSM doesn't define "being a woman" or "being black" as mental illnesses, either. Victims of discrimination do have an elevated risk of certain disorders, mental or otherwise, due to the increased stress that causes, but it'd be silly to say that merely belonging to a minority group is itself a disorder.

gore is not related to that condition.

Here is a simple test. Do you find those pet videos at all adorable or do you feel absolutly nothing and dont understand why people like them. if not then maybe you are
