Am I A Psychopath?
Whenever i see extreme gore/torture, i dont get disgusted by it. I smile instead, i don't know why i smile but i get so hyped and get so happy whenver i see very brutal stuff happening.

There is this anime called "When They Cry", it's extremely brutal and it has several torture scenes. Includes a scene where a little girl commits suicide by smashing her neck up againest a knife on the wall, with another girl that is laughing uncontrollably while the girl commits suicide.

When i looked in the comments, there were so many comments saying that it was extremely brutal and they couldn't handle it. Some said they almost quit watching the show because of it.

I wasn't disgusted at all, i found it quite entertaining. And i actually wanted a scene like that to happen, i just love gore all-together and i get so excited for it.

But i draw a line when it comes to Real Life, it's not like i go onto Google and search up Real Life bloodbaths and laugh at it. But whenever i do come across news or images of such things, i don't get disgusted by it either but instead i'm just like "Meh".

Is something wrong with me? Am I A Psychpath?

Yeah, if i saw a dead person on the ground IRL (I have before) i wouldn't be disgusted, but instead i would just be like "Meh". Real Blood doesn't make me feel sick either.

I kinda do wish death upon some people i know, but hey, we all have enemies and people we hate don't we all?

Also, i don't really have a past of any violence or anything. I have seen a dead body IRL before, but i don't think that would be it.
A lot professions such as Surgeons, EMTs, Homicide Detectives, etc. etc. must face gory situations without feeling disgusted, afraid, or repulsed. I wouldn't categorize them as physcopaths. Rather, I would say they're desensitized, just as you are. Has it always been this way for you? If you're not at all disturbed by the physical bit, does it bother you emotionally? (ie. Do you feel sympathy for the victim?).

Again, just to sumarize, I wouldn't call you a physcopath. You just seem very desensetized.

Ah, i see.
When i was younger, i used to feel sick just by looking at my own veins and i would freak out.
But that isn't the case anymore, i find my own veins pretty interesting now.

Depends, if the victim had it coming then yes. But if it were an innocent person, i would be like "Damn, they didn't deserve that".

Glad to see i'm not a Psychopath

You simply have a lack of empathy, you are not a "psychopath".

Smiling at brutality and thinking 'that's an awesome death' is not being desensitizd. Honestly, if you truly think that, you're a fool.
You need to re-read his posts. He mentions in works of fiction, but not in real life. I'm no doctor, but that fact that he exhibits no wish that this happen to anyone, or any violent tendencies at all, he could just be extremely desensetized.

Seriously though OP, if you're really concerned about it, I would see a doctor. These forums aren't exactly the best place for this.

Steam feels the need to censor it. Kind of like CollegeHumor.

As for the OP, you should seek mental help if you start to enjoy the pain of other people in real life, or get frequent thoughts about murdering people you don't know.

A slight enjoyment in something not real could develop into something far worse in due time. We do have fragile minds after all.

Psychopathy doesn't directly cause a person to be violent, it just removes many of the inhibitory mental factors normal people have, like empathy. Psychopaths can choose to be peaceable like anyone else, it's just harder because they have less motivation to do so.

As to OP's case in particular, not a psychologist and even if I was you can't diagnose someone on an Interweb forum, but it sounds like an unhealthy violence fixation, not psychopathy. Not ruling it out, just saying it doesn't sound like the particular issue OP is describing.

CollegeHumor is a channel on youtube...
Such as this:

Its just censored because its not family friendly or appropiate for the younger community i suppose...

Was just curious if my "problem" was for the same for anybody else as well, and see if this was an acceptable thing for society (I consider Steam a society of it's own).

Glad to see people are telling me to get professional help tho, great community.

I play happywheels often.
And im a fan of gory deaths in video games... Slightly.
Otherwise no, not a fan of gore irl.

And possibly, maybe you have a bloodlust of some sort.

I don't wish to kill people, i'm generally a friendly person IRL to everybody.
But if i do see an @sshole or somebody who is really rude/annoying, i do have an urge but i think that's just normal.

OP is just a typical teenager who spends more time on 4chan than with peoples. Id claim edgy but this isnt new or fresh. Good for you, being desensitized and all.

lmfao, thanks?

This is true

Yeah, i know, but glad to see people are telling me to go and seek professional help tho.
But it isn't Psychopathy, i know for sure now.

Is it normal for someone to smile and find that amusing? Is it "normal"? Well, there is no such thing as normal. People just think death and tourture is unnatural. When really, it's just something we, as a society have grown to see "unhuman". So really, it's fine if you do. Hell, I laugh when I get the ♥♥♥♥ beaten out of me.

I don't mean it that way. Just when someone happens to hit me, I find it funny. Just a nerve of mine.

Something like that

But liquid might have to go see somebody about that, it's not that big of a deal. But it is something that could be looked into more for him.

Yeah, you're right. There isn't exactly a "normal" for humans. We're all different, but i think there might be a "normal" in terms of society and that's what i mean't, but now that i know i'm not the only one, i feel "normal" now.

I just find it funny. It's come to my intention that laughing is best. Just laugh, Ha Ha Ha. That simple.

Something that applies to me too
