anyone that has a ps4 know what might be wrong?

ill put in a clean disk then when im done ill eject and it leaves a light cleanable line each time..anyone know if this is normal or if its the sign of a bad system? i got my ps4 2 days ago

That should be fine as long the console doesn't place permanent scratches.

but what im mostly worried about is it causeing my games to freeze im starting to love the console and i dont wanna end up haveing it swapped out for a new one if that issue does happen..think its just the disk thats getting smuged or is it the lens too?

Dude it might be the laser leaving some dust or cleaning some dust off of it.

i tryed another game and it dident do that then i found some resisude in the new cd case

I'm assuming you mean that it leaves a ring and not a line, would that be more accurate?

If that is the case, the buffer between the motor assemply and disc is a hair too thick, it's rubbing off on your discs. Couple of possible fixes. You can try laying the system flat if you have it vertical. It will take some time, but eventually that material will lie down flat.

Otherwise, get a disc you don't care about and run it until it it wears off that buffer.

I suppose you could also try puling it part and fixing it manually, but I've never operated on a PS4 so I can't really recommend that in good confidence.

the system is flat and not rings just a very light line on the disk when i pull it out only visable with light

called sony support today on the phone they said its not a common issue and it shouldent interfere with my disk installing or running the game they said if i do i can just call in for the warrenty and get a new one
