I actually just finished playing through the remaster of Shadow of the Colossus, and wow, what an experience it was. Exceptionally immersive. Beautifully minimalistic. And what an ending. Loved it.

I say this is somebody who's never played the original on PS2, but what a jawdropper it must have been all the way back in 2005.

I would say best ever would go to the SNES (or GBA SP if handholds count), but the PS2 was a great piece of work, before Sony lost their damn minds and ruined consoles entirely for me for all time with their PS3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
