Any of you still like buying / collecting physical game copies?
At least for console games. I like keeping games I like on my shelf it feels like I actually own it.

Plus taking care of them so they're in mint condition even in many years is a nice feeling.
This topic popped up in my head after I almost impulse bought a chinese copy of skyrim for ps3 but shipping costs too much rip maybe some other day

I basically gave up on physical copies, only game that i might still play is my copy of dungeon siege 2 broken world, When the game and it's add-on is available for purchase online then my physical copy goes away with the rest of my old games.

i see the base game available but not the add-on which annoys me.
Why would someone buy a physical copy if there is digital copies for the said game? That just doesnt make sense

Well the most obvious reason is: Physical editions are usually cheaper.
This is one of reason why i actually have some of my games on Disk.
NFS Heat is mostly 70 euros these days but i got it 40 physical few months back.
Ive noticed this bit back when i bought Shogun 2 and i realised i could just do that, though sometimes its problematic with like FFXV.
sadly no, there is no more PC game store that sold up to date PC games in my country, unlike for example, PS4 or nintendo switch.

thankfully my internet download speed is already fast enough so I am okay move on to buy digital games.
I would like to eventually buy physical copies for all of my favorite games. I like the idea of knowing that I have discs for the ones that I care about the most.

The only problem is whether certain games even have a physical edition at all.

Not any more. I started thinking about what I don't use or have anymore and the thing I haven't had for years is paper money. I only use credit cards nowadays in the age of the internet of things! :P

And when I can't play a game from the disc instantly then it's not really worth it either for when I don't have internet connection.

I would love too, but since the disk only hold an installer and a key. It's not worth anymore. If it still has some art and a manual.. it is still not worth anymore because you can't sell the game when you're done playing, due the game is now on your account. Those times are gone.

I agree having PC games on physical isn't all that great I mostly buy console games on disc, or cartridge for nintendo games

Buying console discs are a joke these days unless a complete edition or GOTY version. So many broken version of 1.0 needing massive patches and multiple ones. Sony/M$ are killing off the plug and play nature of consoles. That system allows pubs/devs to be really lazy and rush content. Todd Howard infamous line "It's not how you launch, it's what it becomes" The No Man's Sky business model really,.
