What's your favorite OST in a game?
Music in a game can make a huge difference in it, whether in a boss fight or just some ambient music. Like say, a sad, melancholic theme for a boss can convey a lot.

What are some themes in games that really stood out to you? What's your favorite?

Personal favorites for me would be Okami and Blade and Soul, which has a terribly underrated OST.

I have liked some of the original music for games i have worked on the the past, i would share them but they are not published.I also like the soundtrack for the legend of zelda, pokemon,fire emblem, dragon quest,dota 2 and portal game series.

No definite favorite here but here are some examples of ones that do stand out alot to me:

Nuclear Throne OST: Labs

The guitar work in particular for this one is amazing; it gives me chills each time I listen to it. The guitarist for NT is very skilled.

Supreme Commander 2 OST: Cybran base theme 1

All of the Cybran tracks are great but this one in particular... the clock-work just such a cool thing to listen to. The Cybran themes also give me a sort of Hun vibe in how they sound, as though the Cybrans were the Huns themselves and their opposer either the UEF or Aeon Illuminate were the Chinese and they're marching their way towards those UEF/Aeon borders... bringing on the pain to a settle score for the wrongs they've done to the Cybran Nation.

Command & Conquer Generals OST: GLA Battle theme 3

Gives me chills as well, empowers me each time I hear it and that wailing at the end is pure badasserly. Like change is gonna come ya know? We've had enough...

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath OST: Act on Instinct Remix

I think it's a stunning and well done remake of the original theme, that could easily replace it in the future. It captures the raw aggression and revolutionary-ism of Nod well.

Stalingrad OST:

Oddly, the rock music is very fitting for a WWII game such as this. The moment the soldiers of the Reich and the Soviet Union set foot onto the field and the tanks roll in... then these tracks play you know ♥♥♥♥♥ gonna go down. Like an epic duel to seal the fate of the world. Which side will you choose?

Okami is a beautiful game, and The Sun Rises is a great track.

A Fluffy Fox
Jeremy Soule's best work was totally in Oblivion.

Animal
My favorite Silent Hill 2 track is 'True', but those are also good choices.

Zero
SotN, Ace Combat, and Wild Arms? Yes.

I feel like whenever anyone makes threads like this, nobody talks about other's choices, they just post and leave.
