When Will There Be a MLP:FIM Video Game?
Before I start this thread, I would like to point out that this thread does involve ponies. If any of you are just gonna post hateful comments like the anti-bronies that you are, please click the back button right now. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Okay, on with the topic.

Have any of you noticed that there's been a severe lack of video games based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic lately? No, I don't mean those flash games and ROM hacks created by the fans, I'm talking about official games-the kind you can actually buy either in stores or online.

You'd think with all the fangames that Hasbro's been shutting down over the past few years (I.E: Fighting Is Magic, Equestria Online, etc.), they would at least try to make up for it by releasing an official game.

Sadly, all we've got so far is a crappy Farmville ripoff with models that look more at home in an N64 game, and a huge-ass paywall that would make the Mann Co. Store look like Dollar Tree.

So in conclusion, do you think there will ever be a MLP:FIM video game...preferably in the near future?

(Jesus, this is a long post!)

To those people who are cringing over MLP fans:

I want a Veggie Tales videogame.

Now cringe some more. Take that.

At least veggie got some christian morals if you a believer of faith, age backet is the same as that aimed for MLP, just less cancer. Id still cringe, but at least it has some grounds of value.

MLP is what happens when socially rejected peoples tries latching onto something for this belief of friendship and bonding, as 21 year old (MEN) run to toys-r-us collecting horses to grind on later that night, or place them neatly on a shelf as they post images on devianart for all the minors to coddle at. Its what happens when social media gives people a venue to find likeminded underdeveloped overly bullied kids a place to be, like the carebears of the 90's and the treasure trolls of the 80's. Thing was internet wasnt a solid deal back in the day so people kept to themselves, like furries.

It is an illness. A messed up mindset where they desire to be noticed, but anyone with common sense rejects them for obvious cringy mental reasons. Grown men fapping to rule 34 talking about magic. Kinda bad when the 9 year old female target audience grows out of it, but the near 30 year olds cant get away from it. People will look for acceptance in strange places.
Nah, see, the difference is that you think this is an illness, while I just sit here not giving a ♥♥♥♥.

You are aware there are over 8 billion humans on the planet? Its very believeable that a few million can be mental. Thats the nice thing about madness, one cant feel it. Its not a huge deal to me either, you have your "brohoof" supporters and "pegasisters" who can pat your back, as the other billions walk away in a brisk pace.

I don't think that a game about magic horses would be very succesful.
I have to disagree. Fighting is Magic, that one fan-made fighting game which got C&D'd, garnered so much popularity that it was showcased at EVO long before the game was even done.

So I have little doubt an official MLP game that isn't like Gameloft's turd (not that that hasn't also proven to be successful) would be a commercial success.
The target audience of MLP is little girls, even if they were to make a game, it would with 99% probability be trash that no sane person over the age of 10 would enjoy.
It never ceases to amaze me how MLP threads always result in people sperging out and insulting the fandom or the poster.

I don't even like it either, but sheesh, show some restraint. You make yourself seem worse than the fandom.

With as big a fandom MLP is, even a mediocre game would probably do very well.

Someone can't beat Blackbean in Gurumin.

I just realized I own that game. I was debating installing it or what I currently am earlier.

Ugh. The target audience debate. Why does it hurt people so much to let other people enjoy something. OP wasn't even trying to act ultra-fan, just ask a simple question. And yea. I see their avatar.

Ugh. Mods lock this before I get further annoyed with my "fellow" gamers.

Gurumin is a nice game. It's got a family-friendly story, alongside Falcom-quality handing-you-your-rear-end-on-a-silver-platter. Well, it lets you heal a little during battles, so it's a little nicer than the Ys games in that regard, but the later bosses make up for it, even on Normal difficulty. Then there's the bonus boss.

My point being, though, there's no reason that "kiddie" games can't be good.

I remember on one forum, there were people that were so bad that the mods threatened to perma ban them if they posted in another MLP thread for any reason. Then these people naturally post in the first MLP thread they find anyway.

I wonder how well such threats would work here.
Well concidering i'm coming from a nuteral standpoint It is up to the fans if they wont one like go mail or ask the makes of it to make a game thats how like quite a few games got made i cant think of any but i feel like a final fanstacy was made becouse of the fans....

However

On the other side of the fence People are going to be so enraged with everything MLP related i know a few people that would be like (i cant say it but its a politacal joke lol) And they would probly try some crazy stunts with the extremists out of that bunch who knows what...

But

Thats my take from my nuteral standpoint you have to weight in bolth sides of the fence sometimes but anyways theres allways going to be opions, And As*wipes so yah.....For both sides dont force stuff on eachouther and start a war both sides hate it alot

Meanwhile this is were i get off

Do you mean official or fan made? Because I pretty sure there are a wide range of fan games out there with actual talent and effort put into them.
Official; I mentioned that in my original post.

Also, all this hatred in the comments above this one...I never asked for this.

Considering the references to such things like Star Wars and Sherlock Holmes in the newest series I'd say it is targeting a much wider audience than just little girls these days. I could understand people (somewhat) if this was all about the '80s ponies (clearly that was aimed at little girls) but the current generation is a little bit different.

Also, for the ones that are crying about the R34? I remember back that even a couple of the MLP voice-actors admitted to the fact that they themselves also enjoyed the porn... so let that sink in for a second.

Aside from that, there's much worse that people jack off to over than that.

... What have I just done... *Hides in a corner*

No kidding, people should be allowed to like what they want; it makes them well them.

That doesn't actually matter. The people who put all those references there don't have the authority to arrange for a game to be made. It's the executives who can do that and (as I recall) they don't quite like acknowledging that bronies exist, no doubt thanks to the undesirables in the fandom.
