Why are there no Doom mods for minecraft?

After playing doom on a sourceport to get Brutal Doom to work with my BFG copy, I started thinking of minecraft, a game I got bored of a while ago, as Zanedrom allows the player to look up and down, albeit in a crappy way that stretches everything in a nauseating way. Now I just want to turn Minecraft into DOOM. Any good mods for ultra-violent Minecraft? (version 1.8. Forge mod loader)

Your video setting is set to "software" and not to "OpenGL", that's the reason for the "stretchy" vertical viewing. With OpenGL, you can look truely vertically. Bit of a Doomer, myself so I need to get that out of the way.

As for the topic, I've been wanting a game like that for years. Like Doom exactly with the added sandbox... ness of Minecraft.
