HuniePop and Sakura games
I know I might be tapping onto a controversial topic, but why the hell are HuniePop and all the Sakura games available on steam?
Take HuniePop for example. That game is a striptease bejeweled rip-off, and the strippers are adolescents or underaged girls with faked, triple H breasts.
Isn't that basically child pornography? I know it's fictional and nobody is being forced or anything, but the entire game is based around a happy enviroment, which is literally like making fun of child pornography. You just don't do that. And if you enjoy that type of thing you might have a problem.

Markiplier himself fell victim to HuniePop and inflicted a tremendous decrease in subscribers and increase in dislikes because he stated he "likes playing" HuniePop as he does on his channel. At this point it is a #16 part series.
I don't think any of us want a Sam Pepper incident, right? So why aren't more people calling him out on it? Because they're falsely informed and think these games are completely okay.

Please don't respond in a stupid, unjust manner, because this is a serious topic.

Yeh guys, this puzzle game about boobs is a very serious topic.
So you're telling me it's stupid that politicians were campaigning against a sex minigame in a Grand Theft Auto game, which is an adult rated game series was stupid, but people not complaining about a game which basically tells you "Child Pornography is okay" is indifferent?

You are obviously in need of medical attention or are under influnce of some sort of hard drugs. Please remember:
"Please don't respond in a stupid, unjust manner"

I don't know what you are talking about, there is no nudity or sex in the Sakura games and Honiepop has an age restriction on it. And when it comes to characters looking like little girls, that's almost every anime/manga ever, nothing new there. Everyone knows that japanese people have issues.
I do not even know if you've played any "Sakura" before, do you actually research before you state?
An age restriction isn't gonna ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ help against something ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ illegal.

Hey Billybob, you know what? If someone is a pervert he plays these games. You can't blame someone's 'perverted-ness'. Huniepop is a good game excluding the nudity and when you first bought the game it didn't state any nudity. But then you just get hooked to that game you can't stop. People don't play for the pornography (well most of them do). But if someone is like that then let them be like that, you have no control over others.

And don't dare you delete this post like the other ones you deleted.

Hunniepop actually has a certain sense of self aware humor, and the actual puzzle game is, in my opinion, better than similar games.

Why did you start this thread. You obviously dislike games of this type, and I can't tell if it is the anime style of the sexualised nature of the games. Heck, it could be both. :conwayshrug:

They are on Steam because the companies making them met Steams requirements for being sold on the site, and they are properly age rated for their content. I don't see you protesting the sexual content in the GTA games, Saints Row, heck, even the Wolf Among Us, so it has to be a mixing of the two, doesn't it?

And Mark plays games for a living, but he also plays games he has fun with. He is willing to take the hit if he is having fun and he still can afford to pay rent at the end of the month. Go Mark, and Pewds, and Jack, And the Funhause guys, and all the others who have played it. If you don't care for the games they why are you bothering to check them out. Is it to rant about how you "Just don't understand how people can like things like this?"

I bet it is. Now call me out, and tell ME I don't know what I'm talking about, sunshine. See how far that gets ya.

Don't know i just think HuniePop is a good fun game on it's own. Not taking itself very serious. Its just a manga/puzzle game.
I really dont understand the controversy about it. :bbamsmily:

I don't see any reason behind this extensive uproar about a bit more skin exposed in games. It actually bothers me how all imaginable kinds of violence are OK in video games, and yet "suggestive themes" get lashed out upon as if we were still in the middle ages.

That is one of the biggest issues I have in gaming today. How can I have a goal in a game to pop 25000 heads with a rifle, but a hit of sexualised material, and people lose their damned minds.

Don't get me wrong, puzzle games are nice once in a while, but you're going far besides the point.

Also, the point "You can't blame someone's perverted-ness" is the worst thing I have ever seen. If you don't blame someone for having a mental illness then you're equally as bad.

Steam is a store that sells games. Huniepop is a game so Steam is selling that.

What's the big issue?

The puzzle game/dating sim hybrid game isn't for you, then.

And wow. Mental illness. Heavy call. Remember that for me while you are blasting people to death in TF2 and GTA San An for me.

Different games for different gamers, my man. I am glad I don't live in a vanilla world.

You make YouTubing seem like it's more of an excuse to get money other than get together like you would in a typical social media.
If you want a puzzle game, you have to get a puzzle game. There are hundreds of Bejeweled clones that are free and accessible as flash games. No need to buy a striptease Bejeweled.
Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row etc. are meant to represent real life as realistically as possible.
Remember the Elder Scrolls V mod that brought children back into the game, and you could beat them up and kill them?
Well, when paired with the sex mod you could have sex with these kids, which sparked a sh!tstorm, and the mod got removed and then reuploaded as something else.
I can't find the article because I deleted my cookies, but it's there. You just have to find it.

Your arguments make zero sense. Running a monopoly on illegal sh!t is not "meeting the Steam requirements" for being sold on the site. If anything, somebody should file a law suit against Valve for letting this happen, the game didn't even go through Greenlight for some reason.

Huniepop doesn't even take itself seriously, neither does the dev.
During the last sale he actually tweeted people should refund the game and buy actual porn or something with the money.

Sakura though, that's understandable. It's made by Western devs that wanted to try and make an H-style VN, but without the actual H or the "VN" part, since your "choices" don't affect anything.

Regardless, people like them. What's wrong with that? It's not like it affects you at all.
If you don't like them then you can just ignore them.

If you don't "understand the controversy about it", you might have a problem. Think about it, puzzles are meant to improve your gray cells in your head, and you think nude 10 year old chicks improve anything? If anything you will be hospitalised.
