Apparently it's a thing right now with the staff shortage to quickly get a job using false credentials as a waiter/waitress, grab some card numbers and then disappear.
Profit.
Yeah we're gathering, notating, and adding up all the charges RN. They want that done when you call them.
A lot of places don't need PIN numbers. McDonald's Drive-Thru, for instance. Ironically, the PIN is only necessary when the customer himself scans the card.
That's a step in the right direction honestly when you're paranoid, just means you are more likely to take precautions over your property and data where others aren't going to.
