Acquaintances, yes. Friends? I don't give that title to just about anyone. Like my respect you have to earn it.

My best friend is 10 years older than me. At some point it doesn´t matter any more, because there are 30 years olds who look like 50 and the other way around too. Not even starting about what´s going on inside those people and how they behave, or what kind of mindset they have. Age isn´t that important, if it´s not about legal questions or extreme cases imho. There are more important things when it is about friendships or relationships.

Of course, I tend to get along with the overwhelming majority of them very well. Off the internet, I get along perfectly with older folks in general, more so than I do anybody else for that matter.
