Canadian video game prices = too EXPENSIVE!
Ok so as some of you who are not living in Canada may know the price for a new video game here is roughly around $80 or 79.99 the whole add the (99) at the end is just a marketing trick so we will just say its $80 plus tax if your buying from a retailer such as EB games or walmart and where i live the tax is 13% so do the math $80 + 13% tax its a ugly number for just a new video game in which could turn ot to be ♥♥♥♥ or terrible. (in case you are wondering it comes to $90.4 with taxes) The point of this whole topic being the game publisher shouldn't be pricing our games with the value of our dollar no other forums of media in canada are doing this with there prices such as music ect. As you know in canada our dollar is tied with the oil so if the dollar goes up the oil price goes up if it goes down the price of oil goes down any ways I think that is how it works I am not 100% sure on that. But any ways I am just sick of these crazy game prices as a gamer who is on a budget who has to support people in life it is hard to keep enjoying this hobby if i can't afford to buy new games with all the other bills i have to pay. So untll these prices change is simply just refuse to buy games. feel free to speak your mind on how you feel about these out-ragious prices for video games in Canada.

Okay. So, given the exchange rate, you are now paying in Canadian what we in the U.S. have been paying for for close to a decade now. Did you want to magically pay less for games that everyone else?

HA!

The prices only got up very recently, and is now tied to the exchange rate. Alternatives to consider: 1) Don't buy games on day one; 2) Buy from alternative stores like CDkeys; 3) Wait for discounts; 4) Encourage indie developers. But I hear you, I'm Canadian and I will never buy a game 80$, it's way too expensive.

Fly to America, convert $80 Canadian to $60 U.S., pay the same for the game, except for the cost of a plane ticket.

Everyone wins.......

People in Russia or some other places won't be paying the same price in american dollars. So it's not just a question of exchange rate, it's also a matter of purshasing power. So 80 $ is still way too much.

The stop buying games, and go buy toilet paper and food. It you are dropping the equivalent buying power of what I am spending, I find myself unable to care about your complaints. The only people who I will listen to it from are Aussies and Kiwis, due to the mark up from shipping the damed games to the ass end of the world.

If your world is so hard that you are that hard pressed to spend, then you really need to stop spending. Not come on the internet, and act like you are getting ripped off. You are being charged the same, after conversion into your local monies, as I am.

Ah You see I got that game as a part of a bundle! Good job! Notice how little I played it? Did you see that thread where I mentioned I got banned from the forum for commenting on the horrible stupidity of the games fans? Did you miss those? I bet you did,

And poorly educated? It is to laugh. I went to a great school.

As for my mentality, it is true I am generally disgusted with people in general. Especially now days, with everyone's cry baby "Woe is me!" mentality.
