Should Obsidian remaster Fallout 1 and 2? What do you guys think?

I was proposing that Obsidian should Remaster Fallout 1 and 2 since they made a spin-off game like Fallout New Vegas (Which I highly enjoyed) I think they should at least remake Fallout 1 and 2 with new and improved graphics. Sure, they don't own the rights to the franchise sadly, though I think they should at least consider it. What do you guys think?

yea that would be good, though I think the play style is way too different and people wouldnt play it. Me included. It's not really a great style for modern games, and its a bad investment for Bethesda

Nah... they'd try to make it too easy and modern. and thusly the game would loose a lot of it's old style charm.

Besides the games run gread with the high def updates, That could however be an interesting mod project.

Only Obsidian woukd be able to do that. Bethesda is the worst developer company for that job. They streamline it to a shooter.

I'd be happy enough to see Beamdog be given a crack at doing a simple HD version remake.

I think that they should stick with making and updating their new games rather than their old ones. All that would happen is it would be resold as an "HD" version kind of like Age of Empires 2. If they do a good job, it might be worth it to them, but won't really do anything for us players.

And yeah same here. Fallout 4 disappointed me in every way possible it's not an RPG anymore. It's more of a shadow of it's former self dying :(.

Thankfully after their failure with New vegas they were never get their hands on the IP again. Was sad when the penalty for defaulting on the publishing contract didn't put them out of business entirely.

Those games don't really need remasters to be honest. Any modern release of those games would require extensive gameplay retooling just to get rid of some of the jank. As much as I love the old Fallout titles....they might be best left in the past.
