Youthanasia was their final memorable album. For over twenty years they've been just painfully "meh", and the last album was particularly awful, barely crossing the line over to metal. It seems for now, at least that they've come a bit to their senses with Dystopia. From what I've heard of it it sounds like it's becoming a proper Thrash Metal album. I pre ordered the picture disc just a few days ago.

That's not true. Cryptic Writings is without a doubt one of their best albums, even if She-Wolf is the most Iron Maideny song they could possibly have written - that's not a bad thing, Iron Maiden is still boss. The World Needs a Hero was a very good album, though it definitely wasn't as true to form as their older albums.

Since that, though, it's not really worth listening to anything newer than TWNAH in entirety. I haven't even heard 13 or supercollider and don't really care to.

I mean, the fact that Youthanasia even has The Killing Road on it....

Well, I'm glad you can enjoy them. To me, though, they went too soft and too PC after Youthanasia. There's been a few songs since that I have thought to be passable but nothing more. And I remember seeing "Super Collider" come out as a single. I listened to it, curious and what I got was not half bad, I guess. Very up-beat tone and quite pop but decent, still. Then the album comes out and I realize that, that song was a bit of a bait and switch tactic because the rest of the album was so incredibly mediocre. I have big hopes for Dystopia to be good.
