When you don't have the motivation to play any games...
What do you do?

Now, this could be because i'm sick, or upset over having a whole boring week off of work but i'm unable to enjoy playing any games, to stay on a game or to even press the play button.

So if any of you are just completely bored of playing games, don't know what to play or maybe even feel drained from playing them - What do you do? :ily:

i don't play games when i don't want to. why would i? i mean i'm not a letsplayer who makes a living from gaming. there are tons of other things to do, besides you always can come back when you feel like getting into games again.

There really isn't "tons of things to do", i'm sick in bed - meaning there is either TV/Movies etc., a book (which i've already read) or games.

I sure wish i could outside for a run, or cycle but i can't even get down the stairs at the moment.

Look up trailers/let's plays for a game you own get yourself hyped to play and you will probably play it for quite some time, always work for me.

oh i see m8. then i guess you might wanna spend some time trying to figure out what you feel like doing? is there an article you wanted to read before but didn't and stuff like that. i mean i just see no sense in enforcing yourself to play games if you don't really want to.

I feel you man, i get burnt out on games so quickly these days, it's especially tough when the only thing you have to do IS to play games, yet there isn't a single game that keeps me interested...

Fallout 4 is my last beacon of hope :(

Go to Shockwave dot com and play one of the Daily Snoop's or Daily Diff's.

I love your idea, you're right though - i am better now (mostly), left with a bad back among other things.
I hope you got a really good sleep! :p

I actually do what you mentioned but normally when i have dreams, my dreams are often extremely vivid, sometimes i think they are real. I will carry these dreams on when i wake up by imagining what would happen next, the problem with this however is that i get stuck in a loop and forget that it's not real - i've had days off work before because i was stuck in this dream world where i was creating my own army to combat germs, i was counting and fighting everything in my room that was a "germ", by the time i realized i was awake... and making this crap up it was lunch time, oops!

EDIT: So you all don't think i am a crazy person - i am not fully awake when doing the above, i am half asleep and half awake... which is why i get very confused :(

I'm bored of seeing these, "I'm bored" topic created nearly every other day in one form or another.

If you don't feel like doing a particular activity, what do you do? You do something else. It isn't hard as you believe it to be.

I'm fine now, i was very ill at the time - and i mean "very ill".
I wasn't simply complaining about being bored but i was stuck in a bed for just over 4 days, only being able to sleep, watch t.v or play games - it got to a point where i was tired of doing them, i didn't want to play games, or watch tv ( i am quite a sporty person and get very antsy if i don't exercise regularly). So the whole laying there for days was getting me annoyed... and bored.

If you can't respect the fact that i couldn't even walk down the stairs of my house to DO something else at the time then maybe you should stop boring yourself on threads like this and go entertain yourself.

Then again with your ignorant and closed-minded comment i would assume you didn't even read the post i made.

Never mind know-it-alls. Glad you are feeling better.

I think the worst thing about being ill is that it also gets you emotionally unwell and the way i think of it is if a sad man is well, he can run to feel better. If a unwell man is happy then he can laugh to get better. However if a man is unwell and unhappy - then what can he do but nothing?

I cannot think of an answer to that question :(

Being intensely sick can really mess with you. Last time I had a bad illness, I just wanted to do noting but lay there. The though of doing so much as going into the living room and crashing on a couch to watch t.v. seemed like a herculean task.

I don't think you're crazy, but you can be somnambulist, can't you? Specially if you're half awake and half asleep.

I've never sleep walked or anything in my life (though once i did wake up in the garden - so maybe one time when i was really young), been told i sleep talk by girlfriends though.

As far as i know i just have stupidly vivid dreams, the other day i dreamt i was being chased by something, when i woke up it took me a whole hour to work out what was a dream..

I love dreams, one of the things in the world that fascinates me x)
