Any anime suggestions to watch?
These are anime I've watched so far:
FullMetall Alchemist: Brotherhood
Shaman K‌ing
Magi
Nana
Death Note
Darker Than Black
Noragami
Mob Psycho
Tales of Zestiria the X
One Punch Man
Jyu Oh Sei

Any recommendations based on these ones? Nana is my favorite from the list, followed up by Death Note and Noragami. I like animes with great story and could be followed up with fighting, but doesn't have to. Or emotional ones to leave me depressed af afterwards. And to not be too long, as FMAB was my longest one (64 ep's). My personal worst from the list was Darker than black, and only one that I haven't watched entire series. :2018salienbeast1:

Flcl
Ergo proxy
Wolf's rain
Black lagoon
Dorohedoro
I liked Ergo Proxy a lot. It gets a lot of criticism for being pretentious and maybe it kind of is, but I don't care. It was a good one.

OP, I thought the Fate series was really good.

Gintama, too, but it's kind of old. Funny as hell, though.

And Clannad (also old), if you want to send yourself down a multi-week emotional rabbit hole.

Fate is probably old, too, now that I think about it, but I still watch the Andy Griffith Show on TV Land and everything else seems brand new after a few episodes of that.
Samurai Champloo

Loved the show, one of my all time faves... but I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't have a lot of anime under their belts. It really plays on expectations you get from other anime so it loses some of its impact if you don't have that perspective.

Outbreak Company is another show that kind of falls into that category. Very light hearted compared to Puella Magi Madoka Magica but you need to be familiar with a lot of other anime to get a lot of the references, otherwise a lot of the bit would just go over your head.

why do people continue to necro this dead thread
I think people like to talk and share the anime they like.

Not like the topic is old and stale, it still has relevance regardless of age.

I also try to find people who like drugs, so there's also that. I think not expecting anything benefits the viewer because they have no preconceived notions of who Homura might be, leading to a wonderful satisfying surprise when she is revealed.

I won't enter spoiler territory so I will just say that some preconceptions are good since the show broke a few of the standard expectations.. that is one of the things I really loved about it.

Not to say it wouldn't have been good otherwise, but those things, to me, made it better.

That said though, the show came out 10 years ago. And a lot of other anime used those things, so my perspective is one from watching it then rather than now. It really was groundbreaking in some of its plot points.

Eh well... thanks?

Sorry if you are hitting on me or something, I'll have to pass. I've grown too old to care about such things.

You need to watch JoJo Bizarre Adventures, but I suggest you to skip part 5 because it is much less good than the others.

Ha ha thats creepy ... for a second I thought the voice acting they chose for the English version was that bad until Homura spoke. Thanks for sharing.

I've seen a few parody things I enjoyed but they keep vanishing from youtube so I can't point you to any.
