I make everyone I know watch it. It's a requirement of being my friend lol.
OP, I thought the Fate series was really good.
Gintama, too, but it's kind of old. Funny as hell, though.
And Clannad (also old), if you want to send yourself down a multi-week emotional rabbit hole.
Fate is probably old, too, now that I think about it, but I still watch the Andy Griffith Show on TV Land and everything else seems brand new after a few episodes of that.
Outbreak Company is another show that kind of falls into that category. Very light hearted compared to Puella Magi Madoka Magica but you need to be familiar with a lot of other anime to get a lot of the references, otherwise a lot of the bit would just go over your head.
Not like the topic is old and stale, it still has relevance regardless of age.
Not to say it wouldn't have been good otherwise, but those things, to me, made it better.
That said though, the show came out 10 years ago. And a lot of other anime used those things, so my perspective is one from watching it then rather than now. It really was groundbreaking in some of its plot points.
Sorry if you are hitting on me or something, I'll have to pass. I've grown too old to care about such things.

I've seen a few parody things I enjoyed but they keep vanishing from youtube so I can't point you to any.
