What are some good, populated PC PVP FPS titles WITHOUT Snipers/Sniper Rifles?

I'm so sick of Snipers. In every single MP FPS game I enjoy, Snipers are the one constant that completely ruins the fun for me. I'm so sick of being insta-killed from across the map the second a pixel of my head turns a corner from a sniper I couldn't even see while playing Team Fortress 2. I'm so sick of being told "just strafe bro" from someone who's top scoring by a mile whilst using a hit-scan weapon and literally getting a kill every 3 seconds whilst hiding behind 7 other team-mates and half a wall. I'm so sick of being forced to play on the terms of other players who have done nothing but snipe for 10,000 hours and have the reflexes and aiming skills of an epileptic lemur on adderall. I'm so sick of dedicated long-range classes being equally effective in close range against against purely close-range classes because of insta-killing capabilities. I just want to play a PVP game where I can fight people in manly close/mid range battle, where we are both capable of damaging each other at all times, and at the very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ least, can actually see each other and both have a chance at winning and don't get killed in 0.023 seconds.

Hopefully something that still involves gunplay, and isn't a grindy game where length of time invested determines character power. I hate that stuff. I still want a purely skill based experience, just without the mile-away instant death ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No snipers, no railguns, none of that nonsense.

Normally I enjoy cooperative titles but I'm also sick of teammates who refuse to work together and just run off as soon as the game starts to do their own thing, so none of that.

Please tell me there's some populated FPS games that exist that meet this criteria. Please. I beg you. I can't take this any more.

Try doom it would be the only franchise I can think of that if you used a sniper rifle your asking for a death sentence so although snipers are in this game really no one uses them since you will get killed if you just stand still and try to snipe in that game doom 2016 is the game I would recommend. Also Starwars battle front 1 made by EA doesn’t have really any sniper rifles and that’s a first person and third person shooter.

The same 50~ people play Doom 2016 and only enough to fill 1 room online at once, I grinded the multiplayer for the platinum and I saw all the same guys

It's kinda sad but also quite impressive that the original Doom has a dramatically larger multiplayer scene than the 2016 one.

I'd personally have to say that DOOM 2016 has better multiplayer compared to DOOM Eternals multiplayer which is this awkward new 1 demon slayer vs two demons and it's kinda dumb imo they should have added TDM to DOOM Eternal. I also grinded and unlocked everything in DOOM 2016 those were good times.

If TF2 is too serious business for you to handle then I don't think you're gonna have a lot of luck in other games. It's okay if competitive shooters aren't your life's calling. Try playing on game modes or maps that leverage your strengths and weaknesses, things like Rockets Only or GunGame for example.
