Ok i do occasionally dabble in shipping. not really like creating ships but more like: "i like this" or "i dont like this" but i mostly follow the mostly canon ships, like Ms. Pauling and Scout in Team Groupwork Defense Fort The Second, As In Being Modeled After A Game Before It, And Sharing A Canonical Connection With The Prior Game.

I don't count myself as part of the fandom of anything I like solely because of how they act and how, in many cases, associating with people who like what I like only serves to ruin what enjoyment I get out of it. Perhaps because I don't take it to the extreme they do, or perhaps because they tend to be wholly insufferable and make me wish death upon myself. Then again my existence is pain to begin with, so that tends to make me not want to associate with anyone who would most certainly exacerbate said discomfort. Just because I'm an adult and thus have to do things I dislike because that's part of what being an adult is about doesn't mean I have to be around people who make me hate what I enjoy, as freedom of association is a thing and I will exercise it if you won't shut the ♥♥♥♥ up about something for five minutes because said thing is all you talk about.

I’m not part of the fandom either, but yeah there’s so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people who just won’t shut up. Like I’ll be like “Hi”, and they’ll say “ I LOVE SUPERWHOLICK ITS THE BEST BLABLABLABLA BLAHBLAH BLAH” it’s sooo annoying. Agree with you 100%.

recently they put striders... apparently supposed to be living, breathing ships on the nether

Hate ZidaneXDagger from FF9. Dagger was a very boring generic white mage/princess character and they had no history until he kidnapped her. I prefer ZidaneXFreya as they have a long history, both are not human, both are alone the majority of the game with her husband presumed dead. And when her husband is finally found he doesn't even remember her or himself and hes like a nothing character thats just inserted so she got her "happy ending."

Sadly Zidanexfreya was never a popular ship. I wouldn't have minded zidane/beatrix that much either. Just anything but dagger. I don't hate her as a character, I hate her as a forced love interest. When I played the games, I even thought her mother was a more fleshed out character than she was.

I'm also not a fan of Zelda/Link, starting with zelda 64 where he promised to marry ruto. As well as you meet several other love interests that game and re-meet them as an adult. Then the game doesn't allow you to pick anyone. Sometimes I just see zelda as gender swapped link and agree that they could have just made the more tomboyish zelda in breath of the wild a playable character if you wanted to play BOTW as a girl. In wind waker I think zelda was even your sister. And as a kid sometimes I even thought link was named zelda pre n64, because the game was called legend of zelda.

I saw the U.S.S. Constitution almost every day when I worked in Boston. It's docked on Congress Street for half the year. Then they have to park it in the Navy yard, so both sides get equal exposure to the elements, for the other half of the year.

Lived on an aircraft carrier for a couple of years. USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. That was fun getting wasted and going up on the flightdeck to watch the F14s take off. Crazy waves sloshing into the hanger bay during a storm..I can say it was the best of times and the worst of times.

In games I guess the spaceships in Rebel Galaxy really are like ships in the sea as you are locked on a plane and fight with broadsides.. fun game. Some of the ships were pretty horrible though.

Kerbal Space Program - although a physics simulation type sandbox space game you can build boats ... made some pretty ugly things there as the hard part was trying to keep a rocket powered boat stay on the water.
