Both the political Parties are stupid.
The government was never made with the intent to have two political parties, and yet hear we are bickering over which is better.

Today, it may seem impossible to imagine the U.S. government without its two leading political parties, Democrats and Republicans. But in 1787, when delegates to the Constitutional Convention gathered in Philadelphia to hash out the foundations of their new government, they entirely omitted political parties from the new nation’s founding document.

This was no accident. The framers of the new Constitution desperately wanted to avoid the divisions that had ripped England apart in the bloody civil wars of the 17th century. Many of them saw parties—or “factions,” as they called them—as corrupt relics of the monarchical British system that they wanted to discard in favor of a truly representative government.

“It was not that they didn’t think of parties,” says Willard Sterne Randall, professor emeritus of history at Champlain College and biographer of six of the Founding Fathers. “Just the idea of a party brought back bitter memories to some of them.”

George Washington’s family had fled England precisely to avoid the civil wars there, while Alexander Hamilton once called political parties “the most fatal disease” of popular governments. James Madison, who worked with Hamilton to defend the new Constitution to the public in the Federalist Papers, wrote in Federalist 10 that one of the functions of a “well-constructed Union” should be “its tendency to break and control the violence of faction.

When Washington stepped aside as president in 1796, he memorably warned in his farewell address of the divisive influence of factions on the workings of democracy: “The common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.”

The U.S. Constitution does not mention political parties, as the framers aimed to avoid the divisions that had caused turmoil in other nations. They viewed political factions as a necessary evil but hoped that the structure of the government would prevent the dominance of any single party.

America has now become that dreaded divided republic. The existential menace is as foretold, and it is breaking the system of government the Founders put in place with the Constitution.

Cut out the middle man, and just vote democrat. The tent is really big this time around.

"You know what you're doing, and yet you're doing it anyway." that's the very definition of being in thrall to ideology.

The "big tent" is what made the Democrats the new Republicans. Now that Roe is gone, you have Cheney voting for you.

Time to change course...
Cheney doesn't represent the Democrats, and the Democrats are not the new republicans. Cheney is anti-Trump that's why he's endorsing Harris/Walz.

Kamala is going to codify reproductive freedom and abortion into federal law.

they are both pro capitalism parties so there's not that much they can do to improve people's lives

though, one party is (currently at least) trying to remove civil liberties from women, gay people and other minorities, while the other is trying to not let that happen

hatred is born from economic equality which neither party wants to really truly tackle because of donors
however, one party has roots in helping people economically (i.e pre-neoliberal Democratic party), siding with unions and being endorsed by local & federal unions, and their progressive caucus wants to do much more than that (increased wages, increased worker protections, lower price gouging)

do whatever u want with this info i guess idk lol
good point, and i applaud you in trying to be as non-partisan as possible.

Whenever you talk about propaganda, I can't help but chuckle seeing you have the biggest propaganda troll thread on the forums right now...

Jill Stein got those votes. This is about, Dems being deathly scared of we Green Voters.
Owning the dems by voting Jill Stein is ridiculous. You need to deal with stuff in your own party first before you start attacking other groups:

Jill Stein Is Killing the Green Party

"With membership at new lows and no electoral wins to their name, it’s time for the Greens to ditch the malignant narcissist who’s presided over its decline.

Last Monday, DNC spokesperson Matt Corridoni released a statement reading:
-- “Jill Stein is a useful idiot for Russia. After parroting Kremlin talking points and being propped up by bad actors in 2016 she’s at it again. Jill Stein won’t become president, but her spoiler candidacy—that both the GOP and Putin have previously shown interest in—can help decide who wins. A vote for Stein is a vote for Trump.” Corridoni’s criticism was likely spurred by a recent Stein event in Tampa, where she championed the cause of three members of the African People’s Socialist Party indicted back in April for participating in a “malign influence campaign” on behalf of the Russian government. --""

"Affirmative may be justified
Take from one, give to another
The goal is to be unified
Take my hand, be my brother
The payment silenced the masses
Sanctified by oppression
Unity took a back seat
Sliding further into regression

One, oh, one, the only way is one
One, oh, one, the only way is one

I feel angry, I feel helpless
Want to change the world, yeah
I feel violent, I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind, no

Society, blind by color
Why hold down one to raise another?
Discrimination, now on both sides
Seeds of hate blossom further
The world is headed for mutiny
When all we want is unity
We may rise and fall
But in the end, we'll meet our fate again, oh

One, oh, one, the only way is one
One, oh, one, the only way is one

I feel angry, I feel helpless
Want to change the world, yeah
I feel violent, I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind, no

I feel angry, I feel helpless
Want to change the world, yeah
I feel violent, I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind, no

I feel angry, I feel helpless
Want to change the world, yeah
I feel violent, I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind, no

I feel angry, I feel helpless
Want to change the world, yeah
I feel violent, I feel alone

We the people are the stupid ones. We will fight each other for the benefit of these parties. Make no mistake, people are willing to fight, die, get injured and lose everything to defend each party. While all along, not of them care about you or your family.

Once you have swallowed the red pill, there is no going back. Being informed is dangerous and painful because it opens your eyes to all the BS.

I swallowed the red pill many years ago and since I research many subjects and deep dive into important matters, I no longer believe anything im told, let alone what our politicians or the mainstream media tells us.

I really do try to ignore stuff these days and just simply get on with my own life but Im so disillusioned with everything, it's hard to keep quite at times. I really need to take the blue pill again for peace of mind and bliss :balloonicorn: please tell me how to become ignorance again.....

Well OP, you are talking to a wall on Steam. When I voted for Ron Paul all those elections I was told a lie by both sides. The left told me a vote for Paul was a vote for Romney and the right told me a vote for Paul was a vote for Obama. Next election it was just a change in names but the rest was the same. I still look at both side as if they are a politicians pet dog.

Those two parties, are fundamentally different. They cannot be stupid, the both of them.

Also, those individuals who see everybody else around them as stupid, usually tend to have huge ego, thinking themselves the smartest person around or something along those lines, or hide psychological issues.

Everything and everyone has pros and cons, as well as they refer to certain qualities crowds. Maybe the complete absence of said "qualities" or "quality characteristics", is what drives you to forming this opinion, instead...? :)

your vote doesn't matter.
Exception being if you're a corporation or a wealthy donor, kinda like the good ol' monarchy days, just that nowadays the "titles" of the royals changed a bit :steamlaughcry:

It is not a healthy thought, even as an afterthought or a joke, than one State can or even worse "should" be, the "pinnacle" of humanity. This misconception has led us down the blackest pages of history, not many decades ago.

Thankfully, the Multipolar World is incoming, accepting everybody with good intentions and prospect of mutual benefit as equal peers, without pinnacles and bottoms.

The coming civilizations know exactly what they need avoid or rather, whom!
Holografix 29 września 2024 o 8:50
The 2 main political parties in the USA are very different. It is a logical fallacy to assume otherwise (it's false equivalence).

To believe that apathy or cynicism is the best looking mask to wear is a admittance of being thrall to conservative or rwing ideology,
