But to answer your question, politics are no longer against the rules. Same with threads about religion. Valve removed those topics from being against the rules like a year or two ago.

unless maybe you have a specific thing in mind... I've checked topics with them before.... they'll either not care or tell you no... then you have ground to stand on if they moderate you.
they just don't like to listen sometimes, eh? like they fire off these automated messages telling people that they've "looked into a ban and it's justified" which they claim are totally real and they've totally looked into it...
but they've also "looked into it" and considered something I've been unjustly banned for multiple times and that had been overturned a week prior to be a "legitimate ban" so that's obviously just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
