Spy games?
What happened to the spy genre?

Splinter Cell, Syphon Filter, James Bond, Mission Impossible.

Why aren't developers making spy games nowadays?

There's a Bond game in the works, look up Project 007. There's a Perfect Dark reboot being made too, and this indie game is being developed by a passionate GoldenEye fan:
