The only concern is whether multiplayer will be supported. RDR1 was already spaghetti code on consoles to begin with. It's amazing they even managed to port it at all, but not surprising, since it did recently come to PS4. Now, whether it'll COST the price of a port and not the $60 they were charging for the PS4 port is a different story.
Edit, yeah: store page says singleplayer only.

Skip.
Will hope for all of you that the port goes smoothly, which is almost never the case. xD
What's that? You bought Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 5 on Microsofts XBOX ISO3 and you just bought the new Playstation X ? Simply login to your rockstar account and continue your playthrough without needing to purchase another copy of the same game.
The sad reality is that we are going to have subscription-based gaming shoved down our throats instead and the weak-willed sheep will take the scraps & be happy about it.
I can't wait for the controversy when modders figure out how to get past its protections and start pushing out Skyrim-like mods for it...
I was hyped when the game was first announced. I was going to make a huge mod that put in classic "Western" gunfighter characters and quests, etc, to engage the player with interacting with them. It was gonna be fun! So, I started planning it out, collecting some assets, getting some good references for the modeling I'd need to do, etc.
Then they announced it wasn't going out to PC and, even so, there wouldn't be any modding allowed.
"No modding? In a "Wild West" sort of game? But, I got all this stuff I'm gonna do! I gots plans! ITS GOIN TO BE KOOL!"
Eh, the heck with 'em. They milked it, tried the online thing with marketplace and crap and... my dream is dead, now.
I would only ever buy that game if I could mod it. If I can't, it'll never see my PC. I can't play that and be reminded for hours about what "would have been."
PS:Edit - OK, I see that this is the first one, not RDR2, like I was thinking. I dunno, now, but I'll have to take a look at it to see if what I would want to do is still possible.
You need an RTX 2070 for recommended settings
