Subaru was absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insufferable in season 1. He was honestly awful. That highlights his character development well, though.

Dealing with subaru is the trial the viewer has to undergo. It's the reason I won't recommend RZ to other people. Even after he gets "better" it's still not great. Willhelm's book is subaru done correctly but good luck ever seeing that animated.

yeah they left out Echidna escaping into a new body at the end of Arc 4 and I don't think that is gonna get animated at all because if it did, it would of been at either the end of season 2 or the start of season 3 but who knows maybe it'll get animated at a later point, speaking of leaving things do wonder if Al being from the real world is actually gonna be revealed in the anime at some point.

Ah, so you did know about the post trial stuff. The anime is making a habit out of leaving things out at this point. Two of the new characters this season are already well known to subaru but they had to pretend that wasn't the case due to never showing that story.

I'm also very interested to see what they will do with that character. They deliberately avoided two very important scenes already and are rapidly approaching a point where they will have to address it.

Quite unfortunate that a lot of things are skipped when it comes to anime adaption of light novels in general.

For me the highlight is overlord movie. Re;zero is also nice, but I still haven't even watch season 2. I think bleach is nicer in manga form so skipping that.

You're gonna be really mad when they get around to revealing the other big plot point they've been avoiding. Btw, he just straight up says it the first time they meet in the LN. I have no idea why the anime doesn't talk about it.
