Am i too old to learn how to skateboard?
I'm in my early 30s and i still have a soul of a kid, but i feel like i might be too old.

You're never too old for learning anything new, and again it's just one of those things you have to embrace. Ignore negative feedback on the subject because it's a wonderful thing to experience something new, and fun.

Like others have warned though, in later years our center of gravity shifts to the middle making certain things more difficult. Skateboarding will def be a little harder then if you are a weightless kid.

this is why gooners are the future

So many experts on aging from people who haven't done it yet relating to activities they've never done.

roller blades and learn safely by getting a teacher for a few sessions.

If you don't then learn to fall forward - they wear knee and elbow pads with helmet for good reason.

Skateboard is cool, people still compete into there 50s easily enough. Just if you do be careful people don't bounce like they used to when growing up.

Never too old so go for it but it's prudent to consider how your circumstances could be affected if you are injured which hopefully never happens but for example could your income be affected if an injury prevents you from driving or walking for a few months. I'm not suggesting that should stop you but it might be wise to consider if insurance is an option.

Online shopping will be less expensive for the safety gear but I would go to a shop first and ask for advice. In places like surf and skate shops the staff tend to be really helpful and more concerned in giving sound advice than making a sale so I would start there.

I got a skateboard for my 13th birthday in 1990 but I never learnt any tricks and when it broke a few weeks later I didn't replace it. It was very popular back then but only a small group of hardcore skaters made it a lifestyle and became insanely good using the best kit available.

Not at all but you may want to consider the fact you are not a kid no more, you weigh a lot more, will recover slower, however that is about it.

Keep physics into account and enjoy.

I learned when I was 10 and have had the itch to do it all again a few times.
