I hear guys say they would feel flattered and happy if a girl came up to them and expressed interest but I've also seen and heard the opposite where they expressed disgust and annoyance

positively of course, it only ever happened to me once, she approached me to say we are breaking up, i had no idea who she was but i asked for a 2nd chance since i would actually know we were in a relationship this time lol. Sweet memories from that mostly, didnt worked out in the end.

It's usually off putting. When men are interested, it's obvious. When women are interested...well, it's like "casually explained - is she into you?"

You really can't tell...well, unless they intentionally make it super obvious. At that point it's flirting, in my experience. Certainly felt that way. Idk, it was a little too fast, their approach.

A woman doesn't need to approach men but can if they want to. It'll be blatantly obvious if the guy is interested or not
