Children are too expensive in the modern economy. It makes more sense to get a robot lover.

Kind of.

Not gonna go 100% doomer and say it's all over but things are rough.

People are realizing that children are too expensive for them, even if they desperately want children. Since they have morals they don't. (These people are educated, yet their wages are poor.)

Meeting people for romance or friendship who will actually stick with you and reciprocate effort you put into the relationship is hard in general.

Also more people have strong political beliefs and are radicalized and I think that affects their chances in dating and such as well.
