Did my PSU die?

I was playing darktide and my computer randomly shut down without warning, all my LED lights won’t turn back on, when I hit the power button my computer does nothing it only makes a clicking sound when I press the power button. I checked my motherboard it looks like it’s in great condition, I reseated ram and tested each individual ram stick, other components were treated the same. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. My computer is dead silent and wont turn on no matter what I do. Edit: PSU officially dead capacitors have white goo coming out of them some of them are slightly bursted too. I really wish I checked on my psu sooner. Hoping my pc will work after installing a new psu. Hopefully my faulty psu didn’t take anything else with it on its way out. Please god.

From my own experiences, I think it is the hardware of your PC's power supply. I would start with the basics, checking the plug of your electrical network, the connection cable to the source and so on, from the wall of your house to the interior of your machine. If the short circuit were in another place, the source would turn on and perhaps you would see that beautiful smoke that comes out of the motherboards and that tells you that there is nothing more to do... Start with the first link in the chain, checking each thing , maybe you are lucky and the damage is at the beginning and not in the internal components.

Did you try plugging your monitor into your MB to get your GPU drivers before you got a new GPU?

Sucks that it took out your MB, my condolences.

Yea nothing happened stil black it’s the weirdest thing.

So, wait...does the monitor not turn on even when plugged into your MB, even though you have a new MB? If that's the case, it means your monitor is bad, which would be very strange.

Do the paperclip test!

Disconnect the psu from all power outlets. Turn it off. Bend a paperclip in a bracket shape. Put one end in the green wire on the 20-pin mobo connector. Put the other end in any black wire connector on the same 20 pin

Now....without that paperclip touching anything too flammable or metallic, just hold the 20pin cable safely, and plug the psu into the wall

If the fan turns on then it still works. I think this trick still works to test psu's and whether or not they've gone bad. It always worked for me in the past.

Just...obviously don't touch the paperclip after plugging in the psu
