You find an extremely rare diamond…
Do you keep it, sell it, or leave it where it is?

Diamonds are quite common.

However there is a monopoly on extracting and commercializing them globaly.

There are planets in our solar system in which it rains diamonds.

Now, as a material, wood is rare.

Life is rare. Diversity is rare.

I'll burn that pretencious piece of carbon and fight for the biodiversity.
Screw diamonds really.
some rare diamond are very special, it is hard to copy them

artificial diamond have their own signature to made easy to know it is artificial diamond

example methane diamond=black diamond

carbon diamond=blue diamond

Diamonds are carbon. And carbon burns nicely.
not really

you need minimum temperature for that

if it is too cold it not going to burn

it is why is hard to burn wood camp and you need before to burn paper or herb to get minimum fire to get minimum temperature to burn wood camp

so for diamond you need 1000c

If no one else owns it I keep it until I find out what it is really worth then decide on selling it or not.

You can use it to cut glass. Glass of the window of a jewelry shop. To get more diamonds - and some gold.

Without a diamond You only have one other option, which somehow draws more attention.

Have to agree with you completely.

The industry is actually crushing the biggest ones they find in Africa. They flipped out when Russia showed it can make artificial flawless diamonds aka superdiamonds, and demanded they encode them with barcodes/markers to show they're not real.

It enrages me we can have the best processor in the world, a diamond processor, better at coping with heat than silicon, yet we suppress the technology.
