Going up against single opponent in a fair matchup is much harder than fighting 25 guys with their arms and legs tied.
I thought the same thing. Running for the chairs is a bit absurd
While you're right about him picking on dumb college libs. Calling him "alt-right" is hilarious. Dude is a basic ♥♥♥♥♥ conservative.
Its why you get those YT shorts "Charlie OWNED this liberal blue haired kid" and its just stupid. Instead of coming together to talk and have a discussion on certain topics, its all about OWNING liberals, others because they think differently and have different ideas on life. Its all subjective anyway.
And yea, the libs can be just a s bad.
Is it because they think differently than you?
Is this why they are wrong and Charlie is correct? You do know that your views do change as you go thru life. When you are young you tend to be more liberal. When you age, you tend to become more conservative.
Many of these early 20 somethings could become more conservative at 45. If this happens, would they be more in-line with your POV, and would that make them good people? I don't have to be wrong because I disagree with a person like Charlie. Its all subjective anyway. Our views on life are molded by our experiences of life.
He's an adult professional speaker - he already knows the boiler plate arguments and their counter-arguments by heart. Before they get ten words out he is going to identify the argument and give a prepared rebuttal.
They don't stand a chance.
Where it gets pathetic, and he does this often from what I have seen, is that even though he has the overwhelming advantage he still resorts to dirty debate tricks. Things like throwing a tangential aside "correcting them" on some minutiae moments before they are about to begin, shaking their concentration.
He's just a Sophist.
In short, if you are old enough to vote on policy that impacts other people, you are old enough to have your political views and knowledge questioned.
As far as the chair racing bit, it's silly, but it's the kind of thing that YouTube channel does, it's like a Buzzfeed. They also did one where it was a liberal commentator debating 25 conservatives, using the exact same format.
