Mass Effect 5 is doomed.

With how this franchise is being treated, I have 0 faith for Mass Effect 5, or any game BioWare is releasing ever again.

I actually remember having the same feeling finishing that game. as i did when i finished ME1. but just a tad bit less.
like in ME1 first time i litereally shouted out loud "YEAAH!" when the normandy did that uturn drop straight into a couple blast into sovereign.
didn't get that much in andromeda. but the rest of the feeling was there tbh.

Yeah. I mean it definitely had some disappointing aspects. I think part of it was, it was just a step backwards in a franchise (that despite other issues), had up until that point largely delivered 9+/10 type of games. To me at least...

Just didn't fully live up to that potential.

yeah for sure. like i said it was just basically a mass effect 1 in a new jacket. which means they had 2 games worth of improvements (and mistakes. looking at you ME3 ending...) that they reversed on.

Edit: And then went even further back due to budget and time constraints.

It doesn't help that, arguably, the game has okay/interesting start and it gets worse and repetitive towards the middle, with the end itself being fully "shrug* "Okay?".

It doesn't help that, arguably, the game has okay/interesting start and it gets worse and repetitive towards the middle, with the end itself being fully "shrug* "Okay?".

Man. That ending still pisses me off. I did all that and didn't even matter in the end. Ruined the whole trilogy for me and I am seen the new "improvement" as well. No change but put a slideshow at the end. Jesus. And remember the shills then. I don't know why every time, even a universally bad thing comes, there would always be shills shamelessly shilling for those games.

If Veilguard fails, I really doubt we will see ME5. That, or ME5 will be made by other studio, not Bioware.

I hope it fails, and someone competent takes over and continues Mass Effect and gives us Sheppard back. They've already ruined Dragon Age, and almost ruined Mass Effect with Andromeda but we can pretend it never happened.

Andromeda was great. Plus Shepherd's story is done.

I might be one of the few people who enjoyed andromeda for what it was. (which was basically a rehash of mass effect 1 point to point in another galaxy)
it wasn't great that's for sure. but i enjoyed it none the less.

I gave the game a fair chance despite all negativity toward it ...and all negativity was legitimate. Game feels like a huge missed opportunity with a nice idea and terrible implementation. Almost all game aspects suffers from lack of skill and talent: technical side - bugs, visual design; gameplay - boring open world, shooting, craft, no character classes; plot and characters - most of the quests are dull, game full of strong independent characters made by people who have no idea what does it means, generic blank villains same boring human like friendly aliens. And most of these issues were inherited from DAI.
