You have to find a balance between corny and serious. Cheesy enough to chuckle at and be entertained by the absurdity, but serious enough in the way narrative points land to get the message across.
It's not "Wow, that was powerful and hit me hard"
It's "Haha, yeah I guess when it's put that way, it makes sense"
I do agree, I just think the word play and general idea/developmental road map would have be perfect for people today to understand what the game is trying to accomplish without publicity turning it into another meme. A part of the deceptive practices are not being able to tell if something is serious, satire or simply trying to be confusing.
Just let fun things be fun and keep serious real world ♥♥♥♥ out of entertainment writ large. If you can't just let fun things be fun, then please go and stay go. I would sincerely appreciate it.
