outrun and lotus turbo challenge games

somebody has an idea why we never see those mythical games on steam. my 2c is that it's about royalties. I'd like to see those out there on Steam so much

streaming old games often helps if you can get people to play it might get the word out about them, not really many people know that those games even exist.

Well..... when it comes to Outrun you can find it in an arcade of various Yakuza games, I think it was even in Shenmue. As a standalone or a part of compilation/collection, its unavailable on Steam.

yeah i purchased Yakuza 0 long time ago. might play it again.
but lotus turbo challenge was very cool too. and there are lot of very old games here at steam. so why not those. there are gaming legends like golden axe, streets of rage, and lot of amiga stuff like the excellent ports of call too. but those are missing. as well as a bunch of others like wings of fury which was awesome too

Can't say I played that one, what cars did it use?


Outrun is a Ferrari deal, but as you can see there's no horse in the Yakuza version, they changed the sprites. I wish they could do the same for Outrun 2006 but I guess that one uses actual cars so a simple logo change isn't gonna work this time.

just discovered that a company pixel games uk has published a bunch of mythical amiga games here on steam. like super machines, or super kick off. super kick off is not exactly an amiga version, but the sega master system looks a lot to amiga one. also it's interesting to note, and this is why i post, that in the description of super machines they refer to lotus turbo challenge. so i think if there's a company well placed to take this game out it's them
