They can still push woke, but it doesn't work in these live-action remakes. If it was in something original, it wouldn't bother as many people.

Why do you think they make PSAs/educational shorts with recognizable characters?
People are more inclined to things they recognize and like. If they made original wokery people would call it out from day 1 and not care for it.
