When I was a kid Siderman was Peter Parker trying to support his aunt by being a photgraphr for the Daily Bugle, who went after criminals in his spare time.
It seems like a lot of superhero films are aimed at "saving the universe" thees, when they started out as going after muggers, bank robbers, drug pushers and so forth.
So, you tell me. What happened/
They could also crank them out even faster if they did, with even more sloppiness. That would be great. We can take more hypersaturation.
Yours,
A grumpy old man
that, and the JJ Abrams "it is all about the journey" key-jingling slop.
i'd also say, though this comes from someone who never enjoyed Marvel products in the first place so take that as you will, that most if not all characters seem flanderized to the point of coming off as walking brand names and little else by now.
it seems more like a low-effort high-budget game of brand recognition rather than any attempt at engaging storytelling.
What do I mean by woke crap? I mean movies that feel more like soap boxes than actual entertainment. Just compare Ms Marvel to something like Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman was actually a well made and interesting movie featuring a strong female lead, but they movie felt like it was trying to entertain you, rather than preach at you.
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing, was that I even like The Marvels movie that came later, but that movie flopped too because of the bad reputation from the first Ms. Marvel movie, and that cringe scene in Avengers...
You are very confused.
Captain Marvel was considered a good movie, and was not woke unless you think a female lead is somehow woke.
Which is silly.
Neither Black Widow or Quantumania were flops.
THat makes no sense to claim.
The first and the last were flops.
BLack Widow also got hit hard by Covid-19.
The Marvels wasn't even that bad.
They are all flops because they didn't make their budget plus marketing costs, which add another $200 million to the cost of the movie. So my statement remains, and it makes perfect sense to anyone who either works in the movie industry or who knows how finance works.
No one uses 200 million as a Marketing amount. LOL wut.
Yeah, the Marvels barely broke even if a bit of a profit if you include every single source, in the World, and the budget being 275 Million.
i wasn't aware exactly how flops are considered.
Still never heard of anyone being excessively mean towards Ant-Man.
Alright. That does make sense.
