So I'd not play it even if it came to Steam.
Cataclysm was the only WoW expansion I ever played and … I liked it. At least until completing the first tier of raids.
Worked my way from total noob to main tank of a raiding guild playing as a cool looking and very fun and kinda OP doggie warrior, then made a bald black human dark knight alt that was another kind of sexy, face rolled some legacy Lich content and raids too. Good times.
Firelands or whatever the 2nd set of raids was called were mechanically interesting but didn’t click for me, or maybe it was burnout. Left WoW there and never went back.
Having already played the peak of hardcore-ness and masochism that was EverQuest raiding from release up to Luclin (the first bad expansion), WoW vanilla never attracted me.
Sorry, just reminiscing.
Diablo Immortal "amazing"
I kinda hope WoW is doing well - The War Within is the first Expack I haven't bought at release since WoW started in 2005.
I just don't have time for it anymore and Diablo 4 is a nice "MMO lite" kinda game for me. It's not a hamster wheel where I feel like I'm behind if I don't stay in, and I can play a season until I'm satisfied and drop it for a few months.
Plus I've begun to really loathe the way WoW handles classes and build diversity (read - nonexistent).
If you don't play wow as a job then you will enjoy it more.
Matter of opinion there.
I don't find a game like WoW fun unless you're pushing challenging content, and you have to gear/prep for that.
