Best thing I've bought in a long time: LED safety glasses.
I seriously underestimated how much I would use these.

I bought them after struggling to see inside the case during my last PC modification (I installed an external power button so I could put it on the floor and save desk space). But now I use them for freaking everything.

I fixed a doorknob with the lights off so as to not wake Mrs. Devsman. I can take out the trash at midnight. And I still have all my hands!

I feel like soon I'm gonna be one of those anime characters that are always drawn with nerd suff hanging off of em, lol.

If they are good enough for Orbital they are good enough for all of humanity

Hell yeah I want them to see me. I'm like a damn redcoat. The conspicuousness sends the message "BTFO or Imma mess you up."

I take used batteries and fluorescent bulbs to a store and pay to have them recycled. And, right near the check-out they have a bunch of shelves devoted to flashlights... Because they are evil and know that I will be very inclined to buy another flashlight that I don't need.

Hands-free head-mount flashlights/floods are awesome and you don't know how great they can be until you finally use one when it's needed.

Now, all that is needed is a gyroscope mount that, once activated, keeps the light pointed exactly where you want it no matter how you move your head. :)
